Arch Contemporary Ballet performs a highly anticipated triple bill at the Sheen Center on Saturday, November 15th with choreography by Artistic Director and founder, Sheena Annalise. One world premiere brings wireless touch censored LED technology costumes to the stage, designed by Elizabeth Tolson to a live improvised violin accompaniment. The second world premiere has ballet meet conga in this sought after collaboration in “World’s Joy” with drumming sensation Sean Clements.

Annalise has been choreographing for 6 years and was selected to work closely with Wayne McGregor’s Random Dance Equator Project before mentoring with Mark Morris Dance Group. Her choreography has “[The audience] speaking volumes to the beauty of the piece…there were audible gasps,” says DancePanaroma.com. Her eye-catching lifts and partner work has never before been seen by an all female cast; purchase tickets at SheenCenter.org. Gala reception tickets are available through premiere seating options.

ARCH CONTEMPORARY BALLET:
New York City’s Arch Contemporary Ballet has been guided by Artistic Director and founder Sheena Annalise since 2013. Annalise’s choreographic process has brought a new connection to audiences between ballet and music. All of ACB’s repertoire is choreographed in silence before composers are brought in to create original music scores to the dancers’ precise movements. This exploration accentuates the works’ challenging line of the body, innovative partner work, and floor patterns that are “…not often seen on women in pointe shoes… (DancePanorama.com)”. ACB has been presented across the US, including the Paramount Theatre of Boston, Tempe Center for the Arts in Phoenix, Marlene Boll Theatre in Detroit, San Jose State University’s Dance Theatre in California, and more. Visit ArchBallet.com for more information.

SEAN CLEMENTS:
Sean Clements has been composing for over 15 years. He has been commissioned by Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater to compose “Annointed” and performed numerous performances of “The Hunt”. He has performed at Lincoln Center’s David H Koch Hall, The Apollo, and on The Today Show.
