Dance Mogul Magazine is proud to preset to you our December special issue featuring ZEST COLLECTIVE Contemporary Performance Art dance company. ZEST COLLECTIVE was founded by Artistic Director Gentry Isaiah George and Artistic Associate Tyler Brown.

Gentry Isaiah George, a former dance artist for Ailey II and Juilliard graduate, is taking giant leaps forward in the dance world. In April 2013, the NY Post heralded George as one of “3 Men to Watch in Ballet.” In 2010, he was named a “Promising Artist of the 21st Century” by the Costa Rican Government, having participated in a series of cultural outreach programs and performances during his enrollment at The Juilliard School. George was born August 19, 1990, in Miami, Florida.

Originally from Owings Mills Maryland, Tyler Brown began her training in Baltimore, at Peabody Preparatory on scholarship under the direction of Carol Bartlett. Ms. Brown attended Carver Center for Arts and Technology, and graduated from Virginia School of the Arts on scholarship where she worked with choreographers like Jennifer Medina and Christopher Huggins. In 2010, Ms. Brown attended The Ailey School as a scholarship recipient, and in 2012, she joined Ailey II. During her time with the company she worked with artists such as Amy Hall Garner, Kate Skarpetowska, Benoit-Swan Pouffer, Renee Robinson, Troy Powell and Robert Battle. Brown is in her first year with Nai-Ni Chen Dance Company. She is a lead choreographer and founding member of ZEST COLLECTIVE Contemporary Performance Art.

Together with their team, production company and more, it is clear to see why Gentry and Tyler are two of the most influential Dance Artists of the 21st century. Their vision and passion to become independent creative artists and entrepreneurs caught the attention of Dance Mogul Magazine. Extensive research has shown us that never before in the history of dance has a company  ever had a entire magazine devoted exclusively to profiling the company’s members, vision, mission, stage performances and ethos. We are proud of the work Gentry and his team are doing to help expand and build on the arts.
